Return & Refund Policy
We want every order to reach you safely. Returns are accepted only for eligible damage claims reported with a complete package-opening video.
What to do if an item arrives damaged
Record the opening
Take one continuous package-opening video from the unopened parcel through to the product. Claims without this video cannot be accepted.
Contact us within 24 hours
Email admin@shriyathecottonhouse.com with subject DAMAGED. Include your order ID, the opening video and clear details of the damage.
Wait for acknowledgement
Please do not return the product until our team confirms that your request is eligible and shares the next steps.
Send the approved return
Ship the item through India Post Registered Parcel within 1–2 days of approval. Approved return postage will be credited within 7 days after we receive the item.
Return condition
The item must be unused, unwashed and in its original packaging, with no stains, odour, perfume, marks, damage or water stains caused after delivery.
Tampered parcels
Do not accept a visibly tampered package. We cannot take responsibility where a tampered parcel is accepted and damage is later reported.
What is not considered damage
- Minor colour or brightness differences caused by screens, lighting or photography.
- Natural irregularities in handmade block prints and Kalamkari, including small stains, overlaps, misprints or print variations.
- Differences in personal expectations about fabric, appearance or feel.
- Gift cards and accessories.
- Sale items; only eligible regular-priced items may be considered for a refund.
Refund process
After an approved return reaches us, it will be inspected. We will email you with the approval or rejection result. If approved, the refund will be initiated to the original payment method. Bank or card processing time may vary.
If your approved refund is delayed, first check your bank account, then contact your card issuer or bank. If it is still missing, email us with your order ID.
